If you’d prefer the convenience of connecting from home, we’re pleased to offer online consultations with Dr. Gray for our traveling patients. This virtual meeting allows you and Dr. Gray to discuss your cosmetic goals and build a connection in a comfortable setting.
Plan Your Trip, With Help If Needed
After completing your online consultation and deciding to proceed with your surgical plan, our patient care team will assist you with the next steps. Out-of-town visitors will receive guidance on available accommodations, and a member of our coordination team will help you create a treatment schedule tailored to your needs.
Traveling to Boise
Please plan to arrive in Boise, Idaho, the day before your surgery to meet with Dr. Gray and his team at Gray Facial Plastic Surgery. If you’re undergoing a facelift or neck lift, we recommend staying in Boise for at least 8 days after your procedure.
This ensures you’ll have multiple follow-ups with Dr. Gray to monitor your healing progress and have your final sutures removed. For less extensive procedures, such as eyelid surgery or rhinoplasty, patients may return home the same day as surgery, provided they can return to Boise for their one-week follow-up appointment.
24/7 Availability While You Recover
For facelift or neck lift patients, Dr. Gray asks patients to establish accomodations within 45 minutes drive from the practice, in case of any issues that need to be seen in person. While issues are rare, Dr. Gray makes himself and his team available to navigate any situation, and we understand that this is a time of vulnerability, so our team will ensure multiple check-ins occur over the week after surgery.
Your Surgical Journey
Your surgery will be performed at a fully accredited outpatient surgery center, and you’ll receive comprehensive information about your procedure well before the scheduled date. Most procedures at Gray Facial Plastic Surgery are performed on an outpatient basis, allowing you to return home after a brief stay in a recovery area with a nurse.
In addition, well ahead of your surgery, we will provide you with a detailed recovery timeline and ensure you have everything needed to stay as comfortable as possible during your healing process. After your procedure, Dr. Gray and his team will arrange a series of follow-up appointments, either in person (preferable) or virtually, to monitor your recovery. These follow-ups allow Dr. Gray to assess your healing progress and ensure you’re recovering comfortably while giving you the opportunity to ask any questions you may have.
